This research area centers on the identification and quantification of soluble biomarkers associated with inflammation, immune activation, and transfusion exposure and metabolism. Using automated immunoassays, multiplex cytokine platforms, and clinical chemistry analyzers, the Core supports research investigating inflammatory pathways, transfusion-related responses, and biomarkers linked to physiological and pathological states. These efforts enable robust biomarker profiling in human samples to advance mechanistic studies and translational research in transfusion medicine and inflammatory conditions.
