Infectious Diseases Serology

One of Dr Di Germanio research area focuses on the measurement and characterization of antibody responses to infectious agents using high-throughput serological platforms, with a focus on HIV and respiratory viruses including SARS-CoV2. Activities include the development, optimization, and application of immunoassays to assess exposure, immune response magnitude, and durability in human samples. By leveraging single-plex and multiplex technologies, this work supports studies of host–pathogen interactions, immune response profiling, and translational research aimed at improving the understanding of infectious disease dynamics.
