Objectivity in Research

Vitalant is committed to ensuring the integrity of the research process and maintaining the public trust and that of sponsors. The Federal regulations were revised in 2011 to increase accountability, add transparency, and enhance regulatory compliance and oversight by the Institution and Federal Sponsor of research.

The primary goal is to promote objectivity by establishing standards that provide a reasonable expectation that the design, conduct, and reporting of research funded under Public Health Service grants, cooperative agreements and contracts will be free from bias resulting from Investigator financial conflicts of interest.
